The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is an independent organization of the United States. The organization is in charge of aviation and spaceflight observation. NASA executes other space related areas including building satellites to helps scientists understand a great deal more about Earth and the universe surrounding it. This organization periodically presents their breakthrough discoveries to explain the mysteries of the undiscovered universe.

As of late, NASA has faced many inquiries concerning the predicted 2012 events. Some of these predictions include the Planet X theory, or better known as Nibiru, that is expected to either collide or cross Earth causing magnetic polar shifts. Earth has a history of likelihood to be struck by comets and asteroids. According to NASA, the last major catastrophe was nearly 65 million years ago that led to the extinction of dinosaurs. Today, NASA employs a special surveillance called the Spaceguard Survey to monitor our galaxy and detect any threat to earth.
