What Is Nibiru?

For many years scientists have debated the existence of another planet that lies beyond the planet that once was Pluto. In the 1980s, scientists noticed anomalies in the orbits of Neptune and Uranus. When searching for the cause of these anomalies, scientists discovered what they have come to call Planet X, or the tenth planet. Nibiru and Planet X have been associated as being the same planet by many, while there are a few out there that believe that Nibiru and Planet X are completely different planets. Planet X is the name that scientists refer to Nibiru as because it is a planet or object that has not yet been identified. Scientists have yet to determine if Planet X or Nibiru is a planet for sure, or whether it is a comet, asteroid, or meteor.

Planet X, Nibiru, or whatever you want to call it is said to have huge orbit around our sun that last about thirty six hundred thousand years. Nibiru’s orbit is going to be coming close to the Earth’s orbit later this year. Ancient Sumerians believed that Nibiru meant the planet of the crossing, which is why many believe that Nibiru will cross paths with the Earth.

A Bit Of History About Nibiru

Ancient Sumerian texts are known as being some of the earliest forms of writing that dates back roughly six thousand years. The Sumerians were one of the oldest civilizations on the planet. The ancient Sumerians also had great knowledge of astronomy and space. They were an advanced culture like the Mayans. Legends has it that the Sumerians had maps and knowledge of the galaxy that was said to have been given to them by an extra terrestrial race called, Anunnaki. The Sumerians believed that Nibiru was the home planet of the Anunnaki. The Anunnaki were believed by the Sumerians to be an advantage race from space. Sumerians believed that the Anunnaki were from Nibiru. They are said to have come to Earth in search of resources. The legend goes on to say that the Anunnaki needed workers to mine the resources of Earth and that the Anunnaki genetically altered some of the primate species that inhabited the Earth into the modern day homo sapien. It is even believed by some that the Anunnaki and Nibiru were responsible for the Great Flood that is referenced in the book of Genesis in the Holy Bible. Most modern scientist does not give much thought to the Sumerian tablets, but instead mark them off as ancient folklore.

Theories

In 1976, scientist Zecharia Sitchin wrote a book, The Twelfth Planet. In Sitchin’s publication, he wrote about the Sumerians belief that Nibiru was the home planet of the Anunnaki. Sitchin also states that Nibiru has collisions with other planets over the course of history. Sitchin believed that Nibiru crashed into a planet named Tiamat. Tiamat is located between Mars and Jupiter. Sitchin believed that the Earth was created by Nibiru crashing into Tiamat.

Nostradamus Theory

Nostradamus prophesied that an asteroid or comet would come crashing into the Mediterranean Sea. Many believe that Nostradamus was referring to Nibiru or Planet X. Nostradamus predicted that this impact would create a massive tsunami that would wipe out Greece and Mount Olympus.

When Worlds Collide

Some scientists agree with Sitchin that the Earth has collided with a planet in the past. These scientists believe that is how the Earth’s oceans were developed. Other scientists who believed the Earth has collided with Nibiru before believe that the asteroid belts that are in our galaxy were formed by the collision of Earth and Nibiru.

If Nibiru were to come crashing into the Earth, the effects would be devastating. Worldwide weather changes would occur on the face of the Earth. If Nibiru hit the Earth on land or on sea, the death toll would be astronomical. The mass chaos that would occur would completely wipe out any order or structure in our society. Mass earthquakes, super volcanic eruptions, and record breaking tsunamis would devastate the Earth. Some scientists believe a polar shift would be caused by a large object hitting the Earth and throwing the Earth’s magnetic field off balance. What humans are left after the initial impact of Nibiru would then be wiped out by the mass worldwide effects of a polar shift.
