Nostradamus was one of the most prophetic figures in the history of the world. His prophecies and predictions have proved to be true time and time again over the span of time. It is documented that Nostradamus has even made predictions as to what will happen on the much anticipated December 21, 2012. Before breaking down that information, it is important to know who Nostradamus was and the significance he had on his time period.

Who was Nostradamus?

Nostradamus was born into a Catholic family in the year 1503 in St Remy, France. At 19, he went to the University of Montpelier to study to become a physician. Nostradamus was taught the Jewish Kabbala, Latin, and Greek at a very young age. Before even going to college, Nostradamus had already been taught the basics of medicine and other fields by his father and grandfather. Nostradamus has been praised as one of the greatest minds throughout history, although during his time a lot of people thought that he was evil or possessed because of his prophecies. He was more than a prophetic figure. Nostradamus was an author, a doctor, a scholar, and an astrologist. He was widely loved, respected, and trusted man. In his lifetime, Nostradamus made over one thousand predictions that spanned over a course of four thousand years. Nostradamus claimed that his prophecies came to him in the night like dreams. He faced much persecution because of his prophecies and visions of the future. People simply thought that his visions were from the Devil.

The Prophecies of Nostradamus

Some of the historical events that were prophesized by Nostradamus were the wars of Napoleon, the rise of Hitler and his demise, as well as the American Revolution, the Civil War, and the assassination of President Lincoln. It is also believed that Nostradamus predicted the terrorist attacks that took place in New York City on 9/11.
There has been much debate about what Nostradamus predicted for December 21, 2012. Nostradamus predicted that the Earth would be hit a large comet by the name of Nibiru. Nibiru is a comet that’s the size of a planet that may hit the Earth directly or barely miss it. Either would affect our planet significantly. There are many arguments about Nibiru.

Is Nibiru Planet X?

Nibiru is also known as Planet X. Scientists do agree that there is the possibility of many unidentified planets out there. Scientists do not agree, however, on whether or not Nibiru or Planet X is a direct threat to our way of life. Those who believe that Nibiru is Planet X state that if Planet X was to hit our planet, could cause a shift in the Earth’s magnetic fields and magnetic poles. A polar shift would follow. The comet-like planet has been scientifically proven to be moving closer to the Earth. As to what will happen on 11:11 A.M. GMT on December 21, 2012, only time will tell.
